Two Major Research Fields in the Initial Stages

 
In the initial stages after its foundation, SIOM focused on two major research fields, high energy laser and high power laser, to develop laser science and technology, which had greatly promoted the research on laser science and technology in China to reach the international leading level and made SIOM become the theoretical, experimental, general and unit technology base for further development in the research fields of laser science and technology, especially in the research field of intense laser science and technology.
