On August 26, 2004, Dr. Qiwen Zhan from Electro-Optics Graduate Program, University of Dayton,USA paid a visit to Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, CAS. He gave a lecture titled "Optical Polarization: what new about it?" There are about 50 researchers presented the lecture and had a hot discussion with Dr. Qiwen Zhan. Before the lecture, Dr. Qiwen Zhan visited two laboratories of the CAS Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. One is the SIOM National Laboratory on High Power Physics, and the other is the SIOM Key Laboratory for High Intensity Optics.
