Research Fields and achievements:
His research fields include high power laser coatings, soft X-ray coatings, the interaction mechanisms between laser and optical films, the growth of the ultra-thin films, semi-conducting materials,advanced optical manufacturing technology, laser material interaction, ultraintense laser materials, optical precision detection technology
He has been engaged in the theoretical and applied research of high-power laser components for decades, and has made systematic and innovative achievements in ultra-precision machining of optical surfaces of high-power laser components, thin film materials with high laser damage threshold, design, control and device application of interface and surface microstructure design. He has led the team to develop a series of optical components with large size and high laser damage threshold, and some components achieved major breakthroughs "developed from nothing to something, from something to better", fully supporting the development of major projects and equipment such as laser fusion, ultra-short super laser and space laser load.
