Research Interest

New physics and novel applications arise from laser-matter interaction at ultra-high intensities. My main interests are in two aspects: a) Laser-plasma physics, including laser-driven particle acceleration / secondary radiation sources and high energy density physics；b) Extreme-field physics, using ultra-intense lasers to study strong-field QED effects of fundamental particles and vacuum, strong gravitational effects and anti-matter/dark-matter particle generation, etc. Students with strong self-motivation and interests in both theoretical and experimental physics are highly welcome.
