Update time: 2015-11-20

On Nov. 13, 2015, Prof. Dr. Masashi Ohkawa from Niigata University pays a visit to SIOM, and delivered a presentation entitled by “Guided-Wave Optical Sensors with Micromechanical Structures” in Yizhi meeting room. This presentation was hosted and chaired by Prof. Xiangzhao Wang who is the director of Laboratory of Information Optics and Opto-Electronic Technology. More than thirty researchers and graduate students of related research fields in SIOM attended this presentation.
In his talk, he firstly introduced the principle and advantages of Guided-Wave Optical Sensors with Micromechanical Structures. And then focused on the research work of his group in pressure sensors, optical accelerometers and optical flow sensors. After presentation, the attendees communicated with Prof. Masashi Ohkawa about the key technology of Guided-Wave Optical Sensors with Micromechanical Structures in depth.
Prof. Masashi Ohkawa visited the Laboratory of Information Optics and Opto-Electronic Technology, Joint Laboratory on High Power Laser and Physics, and State Key Laboratory of High Field Laser Physics after the presentation. In the end, Prof. Masashi Ohkawa had an informal discussion on research methodology with graduate students of Laboratory of Information Optics and Opto-Electronic Technology.
