On Oct. 12, 2015, Israel delegation headed by Prof. Ruth Arnon, the President of Israel Academy of Science and Humanities paid a visit on SIOM. Prof. Zunqi Lin, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Prof. Ruxin Li, the director of SIOM met with the delegation in Yizhi meeting room. Besides Ruth Arnon, the delegation includes Prof. Joshua Jortner, Former President and Dr. Meir Zadok, Director General of the Academy.
 
Prof. Ruxin Li briefly introduced SIOM to the delegation, including institute history, research fields, talent structure and international cooperation. Then Prof. Zunqi Lin introduced the cooperation between SIOM and Israel, especially the High power laser cooperation project between SIOM and Soreq, the Joint Center on High Power Laser Science and Engineering between SIOM and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Based on the existing cooperation, both sides hope to promote further academic exchange and cooperation.
