The Delegation from Szeged， Hungary headed by Dr. Istvan Ujhelyi, Vice-Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament and Dr. Laszlo Botka, Mayor of Szeged, Member of Parliament, paid a visit to SIOM on October 10, 2011. Prof. Li Ruxin， director of SIOM， met with the delegation and had deep discussions on the common interested research fields of both sides.

Ms. Lin Hongxiang，who is charging SIOM international cooperation，gave a brief introduction on key research fields and the international cooperation of SIOM. The Delegation showed great interests in collaboration with SIOM on high power research field and optical components. Both sides hope that they can start the collaboration sooner.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the National Laboratory for High Power Laser Physics and the State Key Laboratory of High field Laser Physics at SIOM. Prof. Zhu Jianqiang, head of the National Laboratory for High Power Laser Physics, and Prof. Leng Yuxin, vice head of the State Key Laboratory of High field Laser Physics, introduced the labs respectively.
