Korean Delegation paid a visit to Shanghai Institute of Optics Fine Mechanics (SIOM) in September, 2011 and had deep discussions on the cooperation project between Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and SIOM.

Ms. Lin Hongxiang, who is charging SIOM international cooperation, gave a brief introduction on SIOM to the delegation. And Prof. Leng Yuxin, the vice head of State Key Laboratory of High Field Laser Physics introduced the research laboratories of SIOM and its key research fields. Prof. Lim Changhwan made a brief introduction on High Energy Density Laser Science Cooperation Center in Korea. Both parties showed great interests on the cooperation and hoped it can get more substantial achievements in the near future.

After the meeting, the Korean delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of High Field Laser Physics and the Joint Laboratory of High Power Laser Physics at SIOM.
