Dr. Florin Negoita and Dr. Nicolae Marius Marginean from the Romania Academy paid a visit to SIOM in March, 2011 and had the academic seminar at SIOM.

Dr. Nicolae Marius Marginean is the head of Nuclear Physics Department, who gave the presentation on the research activities and facilities of the Department. Dr. Florin Negoita presented an Overview of the "Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP)”, the project under preparation in Bucharest as part of the European ELI project.

After the seminar, Dr. Florin Negoita and Dr. Nicolae Marius Marginean visited the Joint Laboratory of High Power Laser Physics of SIOM and had hot academic discussions with the researchers of the laboratory.
