On March 7, 2010,Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences Yin He-Jun，accompanied byDong Yong-Chu, deputy secretary of high-tech bureau，Wang Jian-Yu，Vice- present of CAS Shanghai Branch et al. ,inspected Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanism (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) . Academician Xu Zhi-zhan, Academician Fan Dian-yuan, Academician Wang Yu-Zhu, Academician Lin Zun-Qi, and SIOM group members and some middle-level cadres participated in the discussions. 

　　 Yin He-Jun and others visited the number of major focus of the project of the Joint Laboratory for High Power Laser Physics, the Novel Laser Technique and Application System Laboratory, the Key Laboratory for Quantum Optics, State Key Laboratory of High Field Laser Physics, the Information Optics Laboratory. Yin He-Jun fully affirmed that SIOM made much contribution to the National strategic requirements, as well as researchers’ pragmatic innovation and dedication for the country's scientific research. He said: For years, SIOM made much achievement in disciplinary development, basic research, technology research etc. and made a lot of excellent work with the representative.

　   Later, Prof. Li Ru-Xin, director of SIOM gave the report on the development of SIOM. The report included: the recent progress of science and technology of SIOM, technology platform and conditions to protect construction, the progress of construction personnel and "the 12th Five -Year Plan" strategy on research. After the report, Yin He-Jun and the participants discussed the implementation of major projects, topics such as talent development, etc. He hoped that SIOM seize opportunities for the rapid development of China's science and technology, do good work in research projects; make closely around the state's overall deployment and development plan, and implement a number of major special task; work closely with relevant departments cooperation, for better service the state and the people.
