On July 9, 2008, "Shanghai Jiaotong University(SJTU) - Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics(SIOM) comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony" was held in Minhang campus of SJTU. President Zhang Jie of SJTU and director Zhu Jianqiang of SIOM and correlative researchers of the two sides took part in the ceremony.

   The strategic cooperation agreement aimed at further strengthening of cooperation and exchanges by supplementing each other's advantages to realize the resource sharing, and promotes cooperation of SIOM-SJTU relation on the bases of the existent cooperation.

   After the ceremony, the two sides researchers on related projects carried out an in-depth discussions.
