Laboratory of High Power Fiber Laser Technology

The Laboratory of High Power Fiber Laser Technology (LHPFLT) is one of the research distribution of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Shanghai Key Laboratory of All Solid-State Laser and Applied Techniques is involved in LHPFLT. LHPFLT dedicates to the research and development of fiber lasers and laser system technology, which is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, and integration of advanced high power fiber laser systems and products, emerging industries such as laser cutting and welding, space application, quantum information, LIDAR, and sensing etc. We focus on the following four fields:
[1] High brightness fiber laser and amplifiers, active fiber and passive devices, high brightness coherent or spectrum beam combining and system technology.
[2] All-solid-state mid-infrared laser technology including Tm-doped fiber laser, Ho:YAP laser, 3~5m ZGP-OPO laser, and space radiation effect on these lasers.
[3] Nonlinear fiber optics and precision lasers, particularly on advanced Raman fiber lasers.
[4] Laser welding technology including laser-arc hybrid welding, laser 3D printing, and laser micro-welding etc.
As the top-ranked fiber laser professional research institute in China, the LHPFLT excels in excellent interdisciplinary research.
