CAS Key Laboratory of Space Laser Communication and Detection Technology

The Key Laboratory of Space Laser Communication and Detection Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KLSLCDT,CAS), has been established and developed over ten years in SIOM. We are focusing on the study and application of space laser information transmission and detection technology. Based on laser information technology disciplines, faculties of the laboratory actively explore the space laser communication, space laser radar and laser advanced technology, generalize space laser innovative applications, and provide solutions for key equipment innovation and development. The primary domains of laboratory research direction are as follows:
[1] Developing research of the space laser communication of science and technology, especially developing high speed laser communication between satellites, satellite network and large capacity data transmission trucking; Developing underwater laser communication system and technology to solve the urgent need of oceanic equipment; Developing the time and frequency transferring technique based on laser to satisfy the requriements of the high precision position/navigation/timing.
[2] Developing new mechanism and technology of space lidar detection, focusing on high resolution detection of new lidar system and technology research, enhance accurate recognition rate of various targets; Developing mechanisms and technical research of high precision detecting lidar to solve the high-precision detection of complex environments.
[3] The new scheme and the core technology of space laser technology are studied. Focus on single frequency, high energy space laser technology; meet the urgent need of domestic devices in space laser communication and laser radar system; Developing space device miniaturization and high reliable technology research.
