Research Focus
(a) Advanced solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) methodology.
(b) The development of special glass materials including glass anode, glass electrolyte, and optical glass.
(c) The development of Quantitative Structure-Property Relationship of glass materials mainly based advanced SSNMR techniques.
Education and work experience
Dr. REN received his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in 2002, and master degree from Wuhan University of Technology with Prof. ZHAO Xiujian in 2005. After he received his PhD degree at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2008 with Prof. QIU Jianrong, he moved to Prof. Hellmut Eckert’s group in University of Muenster, Germany, working as postdoctoral fellow up to 2014. In Hellmut Eckert’ group, he started the research of advanced solid state NMR methodology and glass structure characterization by SSNMR. In July 2014, he came back to as a full professor.
